Open Skies Praise is a project to create and distribute Christian music that churches, small groups, and individuals can use without paying for licensing or dealing with the details of copyright law. All of our recordings, lyrics, chord sheets, and other resources are available under a Creative Commons license. This means that you can use, share, and build upon our resources for free, as long as you attribute us and use our resources for non-commercial purposes. We're not based in any one particular church; instead, we're a group of friends from multiple local churches who get together every once in a while to record music. Although a variety of different people sing and play instruments for our songs, we all have a few things in common: we love Jesus, we want to glorify Him, and we hope that our music will encourage and serve the needs of other believers. Because of this, we do our best to write and record music that's useful to the church body as well as theologically correct. Check out our songs and see what we have to offer!
Statement of faith
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (John 1:14, John 20:31) - that He was born of a virgin (Matt. 1:23), lived a perfect life (Heb. 4:15), died for the sins of humanity, was raised from the dead (1 Cor. 15:3 - 4), and is coming back again (Matt. 16:27). We believe that we are saved through grace by faith (Eph. 2:8 - 9). We believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God (John 17:17) and that the Holy Spirit is active in the church today (John 14:26).
