For our Christmas Sing-along 2016 session, we wanted to record traditional Christmas carols, while at the same time contributing something new. Our version of Joy To The World doesn't change the familiar lyrics or melody, but gives it a slightly more modern sounding musical arrangement, with a sleigh bell and piano intro and a key change after the second verse. The original words were written by Isaac Watts, and the original music was written by George Frederick Handel and adapted and arranged by Lowell Mason, although there seems to be quite a bit of debate over the authorship of the music. Both the original words and music are Public Domain.
